Back of House Manager, Events Venue, London, £39,900 + Package
My client is one of the UK’s leading conference and exhibitions centre who pride themselves on their vibrant culture and exceptional service. They are seeking a highly organised, dedicated and experienced Back of House Manager to lead their dynamic team and ensure operations run like clockwork.
What does the role entail as a Back of House Manager?
-Delivery of consistent and exceptional service standards to achieve and ideally exceed
agreed unit targets and grow the reputation for my clients legendary customer service.
- Managing the main venue warehouse and all the satellite storages.
- Responsible, alongside the kitchen department, for the loading bay tidiness.
- Responsible for the good receiving procedure, ensuring the items arrived always match invoices & delivery notes, and immediate protection of any goods arriving onsite.
- Responsible for the holding stock level of Linen in the warehouse.
- Responsible for the holding stock level of Disposable and Chemicals in the warehouse.
- Highly responsible for the maintain, right storage and stock counting of any logistics equipment, light or heavy. As well as CCG stock level.
- Responsible for any equipment hired returns or collection, informing the head of department of any possible losses, and reducing them at minimum cost.
- Liaison with 3rd party supplier and contractors to underpin effective service delivery.
- Own the delivery of health and safety policy and process across your remit.
- Attending events planning meetings once requested
- Supporting the Beverage Logistics Manager with canteen orders, when required.
- Supporting the Senior Logistic manager with any rental equipment orders, events related.
- Responsible for the wash up procedures, tidiness, and cleanliness. Ensuring the correct store of the equipment.
- Report any maintenance issue within the company venue areas to the Facility Manager or Head of Logistics.
- Supporting the head of department to produce the department ROTA, once requested.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a BOH Manager position from an events or hospitality background
- Previous experience in a high volume logistically challenging environment
- Must be highly organised with a great attention to detail
- Calm and structured approach, coupled with resilience and problem solving skills.
- Forklift driving license holder is desirable not essential
