Field Engineer – Electrical Mechanical Laundry Equipment
Service & Installation Engineer – Newport & surrounding areas
THE JOB
Established for over 20 years, a renowned family business who are suppliers of commercial and industrial laundry equipment, are seeking a Field Engineer to join their team.
As a service & installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing commercial & industrial laundry equipment at customer locations, minimising downtime and providing exceptional customer service.Your Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and test commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer sites
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and prevent equipment breakdowns
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, both mechanical and electrical, and perform necessary repairs
- Replace faulty components, such as motors, pumps, valves, and control panels, as needed
- Calibrate and adjust equipment settings to ensure accurate operation and efficient performance
- Keep accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including completed work orders, parts used, and hours worked
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers, answering their questions and guiding them on equipment operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with other team members, including sales and customer service, to provide a seamless customer experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Field Service Engineer or Installation Engineer experience
- Electrical & Mechanical aptitude, with single & three-phase knowledge
- Able to use a multi-meter & read schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer focused
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK Driver's licence and able travel to customer sites across the UK
- Advantage - commercial equipment or industrial laundry experience
HOURS & REMUNERATION
- 37hrs week
- Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and early finish Friday 8am - 1pm
- From £35,000 basic (to £40,000 if ACS Gas certified)
- Overtime payments
- Gas training provided if not Gas qualified
- 30 days holiday (inc stats)
- Company vehicle, tools, uniform, etc
- Occasional overnight stays including around the United Kingdom and Europe
